Professional Translation Management Software for Businesses of Any Size
Thanks to a closed supply chain and numerous automation features, Link Translation supports information security in translation processes, while ensuring maximum translation quality and text consistency.
Collaboration
Our system can substantially reduce the overhead caused by complex tasks in the translation process. Regardless of the source text format, all parties involved work on a central platform. Thus, editors and translators can access the same consistent data, and customers can assign projects and track work progress in a transparent manner. If necessary, project management can take place via the web. For this, individual team members do not need their own system installations but can work on the respective Language Server using their browsers.
Quality Management
Our system offers functions that help our translators avoid inconsistencies by, for example, checking text length, spelling, or completeness as they work. Additional standard-compliant release steps can be defined for maximum translation quality. Proofreading translations in the target country is an important but laborious quality assurance measure, and collaboration between the translation coordinator and reviewer is vital for a smooth process. All of our reviewers are product specialists.
Our system also offers tools for seamless, transparent implementation of location-independent review processes. Depending on their linguistic competence, parties to the project can be granted individual commenting or editing rights. The uniform review process reduces correction times and helps translators avoid similar mistakes in the future.
We ensure that translated content not only meets the quality requirements set by industry standards, such as J2450 and LISA QA, but also our clients’ standards by measuring the quality of translated content with our linguistic quality assurance solution.
Project Management
You need your projects to run smoothly, efficiently and on budget. Link Translation automatically ensures that translators have access to all the resources they need, as and when they need them. Projects can be completed faster and with consistent quality throughout, with revisers and translators able to work on documents simultaneously, even using collaborative tools and comment functions to provide live feedback. Our project managers have direct control over who is doing what and can see up-to-date project status information. Every action taken by project managers, translators and reviewers is automatically recorded for easy reference in the project history. Automatic, customizable e-mail notifications help coordinate the process. We can easily divide projects and documents between translators, allowing translators and reviewers to take documents for themselves or work on them in a crowdsourced mode in collaboration with other translation companies or translators. All project communication is recorded and processed in our server.
In the Project Management Cockpit, enhanced functions for power users and customizable queries facilitate translation management. The translation module provides diverse options for querying translation and project management-relevant indicators. If necessary, these indicators can be presented as dashlets to Translators and Proofreaders. For example, unfinished tasks or upcoming deadlines can be displayed in the dashboard, together with direct links to software functions, websites, file folders, or programs in the form of dashlets.
Universal Translation Editor
The translation editor displays all relevant information in a clearly structured form for our translators. Whether we are translating a Word or XML file or localizing software, we always work in the same environment. Apart from the source text and the target text, our translators can see search hits from the translation memory and the terminology database. With just a click, a preview can be generated for most formats to check layout issues.
Transparent Project Management
Every time we set up a project in our system, we are asked to select the source texts, target languages, due dates and quality criteria. During check-in, source documents are split by format and content and analyzed. Matches from the translation memory can be inserted in the target text as pre-translation. Throughout the project period, we can monitor the progress of individual subtasks. Once a project is finished, a report showing workload, repetition rates, and quality can be used as the basis for control and billing.
Seamlessly Integrated Quality Assurance
Our system works with numerous quality assurance functions. Certain error sources are analyzed and displayed during translation. Untranslated paragraphs and ignored translation memory entries are also analyzed automatically. The report at the end of a project can systematically present error types and sources, enabling the optimization of future projects.
